Annual resume of Corruption Prevention Network

Dear colleagues, on the eve of the New Year, we would like to share what the Corruption Prevention Network managed to do in the past year:

  • The Network for the Prevention of Corruption (hereinafter referred to as the CPC) itself was created;
  • Members of the SEC took an active part in the discussion of the draft law “On voluntary legalization and amnesty of assets of individuals” and the Law “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Kyrgyz Republic”. Prepared recommendations and proposals on the draft Law and sent to the relevant state bodies;
  • Members of the SEC took an active part in the discussion of the draft law “On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Public Procurement”. Prepared recommendations and proposals on the draft Law and sent to the relevant state bodies;
  • Members of the SEC conducted an anti-corruption expertise on continuing medical and pharmaceutical education;
  • Conducted trainings on anti-corruption education and education for different target groups in order to promote zero tolerance for corruption.
    The problem of corruption still remains the most acute and urgent. Nepotism, kronism, kleptocracy take place and, moreover, acquire new forms, mimic and adapt to changes in political, economic and social conditions.
    Our Network of concerned citizens, called upon to take preventive action, is not going to stand aside and will continue its work to the extent possible.
    In 2023, the SPK intends to further promote advocacy campaigns, conduct anti-corruption training and education among the population, conduct anti-corruption expertise, organize trainings and mentoring for SPK members, cover ongoing work in the media space, continue to cooperate with development partners, and expand its ranks.
