Training in Ton District of Issyk-Kul Region on “Civic Activism, Leadership and Effective Cooperation at the Grassroots”

The Central Asian Research Institute on Corruption and Money Laundering within the framework of USAID project “Ukuk Bulagy”, implemented by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI), launched a training in Ton District of Issyk-Kul Region on “Civic Activism, Leadership and Effective Cooperation at the Grassroots” as part of the project “Civic Engagement in Preventing Corruption at the Grassroots”.One of the important objectives of the training was to raise awareness of the rule of law, legal tools to promote accountability of state bodies and local self-government, leadership and civic activism.Training participants noted the need to hold events where citizens could be informed about corruption and mechanisms to prevent it.Trainings will continue in Nookat district of Osh region.
