The purpose of the project was to strengthen democracy in the Kyrgyz Republic by expanding cooperation between citizens and state bodies in the field of counteracting corruption and increasing the organizational potential of the CHU working in the field of corruption prevention.

The following tasks were completed as part of the project:

The cooperation of the “Network for the Prevention of Corruption” with state bodies, as well as local authorities on the prevention of corruption and accountability by increasing the potential of network members and the implementation of mini-grants;
assistance was provided to state bodies and local governments to increase the level of transparency of the state budget and public procurement by training experts in monitoring and further conducting state procurement and budget transparency.
The implementation of these tasks was achieved by implementing the following measures:

Conducting an online school for activists and members of the network to prevent corruption;
Monitoring of budgetary transparency of state bodies and local authorities and monitoring public procurement;
Implementation of mini-initiatives in the Tyupsky district, Karakol, Balykchi, Bishkek (3 initiatives) aimed at strengthening the work to prevent corruption, increasing the awareness of citizens, raising intolerance of corruption, ensuring transparency of state bodies and local governments, involving citizens in the process of preventing corruption and monitoring of state state purchases.
