Prevention of corruption through education and increasing awareness

The project was implemented with the support of the McCain Institute.

The purpose of the project was to introduce the course of anti -corruption policy at regional universities of the Kyrgyz Republic and its further institutionalization, which will contribute to the formation of anti -corruption consciousness of youth and its intolerance for corruption.
In regional universities, the current work was absolutely not conducted to introduce corruption courses at the university, we considered it important to use this grant to implement this course in regional universities, as well as to improve the qualifications of regional university teachers. by countering corruption.
Another important reason was the vulnerability of students of regional universities from manifestations of corruption in universities and insufficient awareness of instruments and mechanisms to counteract this evil.
The project was implemented together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The training was carried out for teachers of 5 universities located in Osh, and 3 universities in Jalal-Abad. All these universities are located in the south of Kyrgyzstan, in the most densely populated region. In total, 50 teachers and professors of these universities were trained.
The training was carried out for teachers of Naryn State University (this is the northern region of the republic). 30 university teachers have been prepared.
A memorandum of cooperation with the rectors (head of the university) of universities was signed, within the framework of which the parties agreed on the introduction of these courses in universities, as well as on advisory support from our organization of teachers of these universities.
