The project “Anti -Corruption Summer School for Teachers” was implemented with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This project made it possible to introduce a course of “anti -corruption policy” in universities in the country and disseminate the knowledge and skills of counteracting corruption in various areas of public life.
The purpose of the project was to introduce anti -corruption education in the universities of Kyrgyzstan for the development and distribution of the concept of society among students free of corruption in order to create a critical mass of youth, with zero tolerance to corruption.
To achieve the goal, the project team held the following events:
- A training course on anti -corruption policy for universities has been developed, including curricula, lectures,
Practical tasks, textbooks, etc.
- the textbook “Fundamentals of Combating Corruption” for undergraduates and students of higher educational institutions has been developed;
- the textbook “Fundamentals of Anti -Corruption Policy” for university teachers has been developed. The training manual presents training materials that can be used in the process of training seminars, continuing education and training courses.
- an anti -corruption summer school for teachers from 10 pilot universities (in the format) was held in order to prepare for teaching this course at their universities.
- Participants in the anti -corruption school were developed and signed by the "Code of Ethics of the teacher of a higher educational institution";
- the approval of the Ministry of Education for the further implementation of the course in the curriculum of universities was received;
- Mentor assistance was provided to the school participants in the process of implementing the developed anti -corruption courses at universities.
Thanks to this project, the institute, a great opportunity to prepare teachers who would promote the ideas of a transparent and responsible government, to train young leaders of the country who are intolerable for corruption .
The project helped create a network of active teachers promoting anti -corruption initiatives in the field of education. The project was highly appreciated and approved by the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The implementation of this project once again confirmed the relevance and acute need for the further implementation of anti -corruption education and education, as well as the active promotion of zero tolerance to corruption in society.
