In the Nookatsky district, the second series of trainings for representatives of civil society institutions and activists as part of the project “Civil participation in the prevention of corruption at the local level” ended. Participants in the training increased their knowledge on the prevention of corruption, got acquainted with the methods of work of journalistic investigations and facts, and also gained skills to identify corruption risks and monitor the implementation of anti -corruption measures. At the training, tools for identifying corruption risks were practiced. The participants were interested in the multi -storey facility under construction in the center of noocat, which raised doubts about the legality of issuing permits for the construction of the building. Activists intend to further investigate this case and achieve the openness and transparency of the decisions from the authorities. The participants note that the trainings helped “open their eyes” to the concept of “corruption”. New acquired knowledge will be used for the benefit of the development of our country are sure of the training participants. Thus, in the Sverdlovsk, Tonsky and Noocatsky districts the second series of trainings ended. We want to wish all participants in success in the implementation of ideas for the prevention of corruption in Kyrgyzstan. Realization of these measures became possible thanks to the help of the American people, provided through the US Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of the USAID project “UKUK Bulagi”, the Est-West Management Institute (EWMI). The Central Asian Institute for the Research of Corruption and Rolling of Revenues is responsible for the content of trainings, which does not necessarily reflect the position of USAID, US government or EWMI.
