
The interaction of civil society institutions with local authorities and the participation of citizens in resolving local issues is an important mechanism for preventing corruption. The producing of state and public institutions contributes to the effectiveness of the potential of society as a whole and a decrease in the corruption zone. Therefore, the involvement of citizens in the discussion of the most topical issues is of fundamental importance, which showed a public hearing held as part of the implementation of the mini-initiative in the Sverdlovsk district. So, within the framework of the project “I don't care!” A public hearings and a round table were organized together with the Sverdlovsk District Municipal Administration of Bishkek on the situation with the management and distribution of municipal lands of the Sverdlovsk region. "The participants raised the issues of illegal buildings in the Sverdlovsk district, about the revealed violations of the use of municipal lands. As noted by the participants in the hearings, these sites are used for other purposes and detrimental to the residents of the district. According to the results of the hearings, activists sent appeals to the relevant authorities to establish order and justice on these issues. In turn, the deputy akima Kubanychbek Aitakunov assured the participants of the public hearings in the readiness of the administration to take the necessary measures in resolving land issues for the benefit of residents of the Sverdlovsk region. Within the framework of the initiative, the head of the Socium, B. Estebelesova spoke about the stages of the work. The event was attended by representatives of municipal bodies, experts on land issues, civilian activists of the Sverdlovsk region and representatives of public organizations. An initiative is being implemented as part of the project “Civil Participation in Combating Corruption at the Local level”, implemented by the Central Asian Remember of Corruption and Laundering of Criminal Racing, with the support of the US Agency for International Development for International Development for International Development for International Development of International Development (USAID) as part of the USAID project “Ukuk Bulagi”, the IST-West Management Institute (EWMI).
