in the framework of the project “Improving the potential of civil society institutions on counteracting corruption in the Kyrgyz Republic and the creation of coalition of organizations to promote anti -corruption initiatives”, the medical union of Kyrgyzstan under the leadership of Baryktabasova implemented the project to develop the information section “On the Combat of Corruption in the System of the Kyrgyz Republic” on the MPC website ( https://mpk.kg/nocorrupt/ ). The initiative is motivated by the need to inform citizens about the problems of corruption in the healthcare system. It exists everywhere: when hiring, upon receipt of education, appointment to a position, when issuing salaries; informal payments from the patient’s pocket, corruption during tenders and registration of medicines, and so on. Corruption in the healthcare system leads to the prosperity of the illegal business in medicine, the rise in the cost of medical care, unreasonable expenses from the budget, reduce access to medical services, and ultimately, to deteriorate public health and the renewal of citizens. The division of corruption on the website of the Medical Trade Union of the Kyrgyz Republic was created for the purpose of education. It is designed to inform the public about the problems of corruption in medicine, as well as to develop the culture of zero tolerance to corruption in the Healthcare system of Kyrgyzstan. The initiative was implemented with the support of the Central Asian Institute for the Research of Corruption and Luffling of income and with the financial support of the Democratic Commission of the US Embassy in the United States Kyrgyzstan.
