
as part of the “Civil Participation in Combating Corruption at the Local level”, a guest lecture was held, held by the former general director of Transparency International Russia, Ilya Shumanov, on the topic “The role of civil society institutions in combating corruption.” Ilya Shumanov spoke in detail about the five main areas in which civil society may take part In the fight against corruption: monitoring and identification of corruption, research and analytics, education and informing, legal assistance and legal protection, active participation and civil mobilization. In each direction, the guest shared his experience and achievements on the path of counteracting corruption. We express our gratitude to Ilya Shumanov for a substantial and informative guest lecture.
