Theory and mechanisms of modern state and municipal governance

In the second trimester our master students started studying the course “Theory and mechanisms of modern state and municipal governance”, which is read by candidate of political sciences, associate professor Azis Esenbaev A.E.. This course is aimed at studying fundamental principles and modern approaches to management in state and local self-government bodies. Students get knowledge about approaches and methods of increasing the efficiency of state and municipal bodies. Special attention is paid to modern challenges faced by the authorities and ways of overcoming them.The course “Theory and Mechanisms of Modern State and Municipal Management” is a unique opportunity for students to consider the system of functioning of state bodies and peculiarities of organization of state and municipal service, as well as to discuss promising directions of development of public administration and criteria for assessing its quality.The Master’s program is implemented by the Central Asian Research Institute on Corruption and Money Laundering in cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the UNDP project “Strengthening People-Centered Anti-Corruption and Accountability Efforts in the Kyrgyz Republic”, with financial support of the United States Department of State..This project is aimed at strengthening transparency and accountability of government structures, supporting civic participation and introducing human rights-oriented anti-corruption mechanisms. An important goal of the project is to strengthen the interaction of civil society institutions with government agencies on corruption prevention.
