Meetings with world-class experts are becoming a good tradition that we intend to follow in the future. The module “International Standards and National Legal and Institutional Framework for Combating Corruption” included a guest lecture by Dr. Ina Kubbe. She is a researcher and lecturer at the School of Political Science, Public Administration and International Relations at Tel Aviv University (TAU). Dr. Kubbe is a founding member of the Interdisciplinary Corruption Research Network (ICRN).

Dr. Ina Kubbe’s lecture “Understanding Corruption and Social Norms: Rethinking the Approach to Anticorruption Reform” was aimed at deepening our understanding of the nature of corruption and how and how much it can be influenced by social norms, customs and informal rules of behavior.

We are immensely grateful to Ina Kubba for the lecture and look forward to further cooperation. Special thanks to our lecturer Dinara Asanbayeva for the opportunity to hold this meeting.

Academic anti-corruption certification program is implemented in cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic with the financial support of the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan.
