“Corruption, Public Policy and Society” is a unique online discipline under the Master’s program ’Effective Governance and Anti-Corruption”, which allows students to delve into the issues of anti-corruption and its impact on public processes. The course instructor, Jaroslav Strelčonok, former head of the Latvian Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (LPCB), shares his many years of experience in this field.During the course, Strelchonok not only explains key concepts of corruption, but also introduces students to real cases based on his practice, demonstrating how effective anti-corruption measures can make a difference in public administration.The course allows students to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of corruption on society and public policy, as well as to learn about the best practices to combat this phenomenon.The Master’s program is implemented within the framework of the UNDP project “Strengthening People-Centered Anti-Corruption and Accountability Efforts in the Kyrgyz Republic”, implemented by the Central Asian Research Institute on Corruption and Money Laundering in cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.The views expressed in this publication do not necessarily reflect those of the United Nations, the United Nations Development Programme, its programmes/projects or governments.
