On March 9, as part of our academic anti-corruption certified program, a new module on the topic “Business Integrity (Compliance)” began.What does the concept of “Business Integrity – Compliance” include?“Integrity in business (compliance) is a system, a process of ensuring that the company’s activities comply with various requirements: legislation, regulators, shareholders, investors, creditors; ethical standards, voluntarily accepted standards and best business practices. “During the class, a compliance expert, rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Professor Akmataliev Almazbek Akmatalievich will cover many issues, including the development of compliance at the global level as an effective tool for combating corruption, the state and prospects for the development of business integrity in the Kyrgyz Republic, the most common use of compliance practices in everyday life , on the role of the state in stimulating and developing conscientiousness in business, as well as on the problems of introducing certain practices of conscientiousness in business in Kyrgyzstan and ways to overcome them.
Among other issues, the following topics will also be covered:The scale and negative impact of corruption on the business sector of the Kyrgyz Republic;Measures taken to prevent and combat corruption to improve the business environment;What impact does corruption in Kyrgyzstan have on business and investment attractiveness of the country?The academic anti-corruption certified program is implemented in cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.The project is funded by the Soros Foundation – Kyrgyzstan.
